ACTION FOR CHILD LABOUR(CHOLAI) is a voluntary organization committed to the Elimination of Child labour registered under the Trust Act in 1987. It possesses FCRA and is exempted under 80G of Income Tax Act.
We strongly believe I the word that “Children are the vital source in strengthening our nation in all areas. Especially, in leading the economic and social front of the country to a brighter future. They should not be pushed in dehumanizing and harmful jobs.”
To help all children get their child rights in order to enjoy their childhood.

2018 women got trained through “Women Mini Business School” and had become small entrepreneurs
1673 Working children removed from hazardous industries and put back into formal schools
So far 1090 working children have been provided recreational learning opportunities
1452 Youths have received alternative skill training in refrigeration and AC Mechanism, Electrical Plumbing and have been employed
Women small vendors had been formed and in that there 1641 members
In all villages Children Club has been formed
Stydy Skill Center - In a year we train 100 children both boys and girls on the importance of studies skills to achieve high mark and also to love their education.
Health Camps - We are organizing health camps in our 32 villages, often with the help of the government hospitals, private hospitals & research institution.
Small Women Vendors Federation - There are 543 womens vendors members in this federation. Each month in each village we conduct monthly meetings for these members and also provide special training for these women to improve their health, business, and also provide quality education to their children.
Credit and Saving for women small vendors- To improve their business and also their savings we conduct health and savings program for these womens.
Credit and Saving for middle and High school children- There are 630 middle school members in this program. All of them are attending government schools. Each month the parents of these children provide Rs.100 - Rs.200 as savings for their children. In every academic year we provide credit according to their savings. In this program in a year all the children are benifited
This is done by having 2 hour sessions with the help of volunteers during the weekends. This is split into 4 half hour sessions with specific focus as mentioned.
1. Yoga, breathing, meditation and memory or retention power.
2. Creativity for the usage of brain to the limit possible, drawing skills.
3. Mathematics, usage of ABACUS methodology, to improve mind power.
4. Games ranging from chess to carom to smaller games to improve concentration and behavioral and interpersonal skills.
