CHOLAI community college is perceived as an alternative system of education to include the excluded. School dropouts are provided opportunities to train and equip themselves with knowledge and skills to determine their future. Diploma courses such as Electrical, Ac & Refrigeration, Fire and Industrial Safety, Computer Application, Tailoring and Garments making are offered as prescribed and standardized by the Tamilnadu Open University & Manonmaniam Sundarnar University.

Apart from prescribed courses, separate sessions in leadership, team management and personality development are also provided. Moreover to eliminate their shyness, inferiority complex and frustrations, constant motivational support is provided through periodic counselling. Further to help the youth get employment with reasonable salary, job placement service is also offered.
